The City of Perth is – and always should be - the centre of Western Australia’s social, business and creative life. 

Our city should be a place bustling with people, alive with colour and life, accessible to all, and with opportunity to grow and expand. 

Our city’s economy needs a sustainable, forward-thinking vision for the decades ahead as we diversify our offering, encourage risk-taking and ensure we are as inviting, invigorating and interesting as we can be for residents, city workers, business owners and visitors alike.

The City of Perth, like all councils, needs open, transparent, ethical governance, by a diverse group of people representing all walks of life.

About Jemma

In October 2015, Jemma was elected as an independent councillor at the City of Perth. Born and raised in Perth, Jemma is a passionate and vocal advocate for making our city a more lively and liveable place for everyone. Having owned a city apartment since 2007, Jemma has long advocated the need to make living and working in Perth an attractive option for people from all walks of life. 

With a Masters Degree in Sustainability from Cambridge University, Jemma has a wealth of knowledge and practical experience gained from working across the world.  She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Murdoch University.
